Am looking for my Maxwell ancestors in Blount County.  Robert died abt 1829.  His wife was Sarah and their daughters were Susannah, Jane, Sarah, Elizabeth, & Melinda.  Susannah married Alexander Sharp 9/10/1816.  Jane wed Thomas Low
3/1/1821.  Sarah married James Furguson 9/14/1826.  Nothing confirmed regarding Elizabeth & Melinda at this time.  I
descend from Susannah & Alexander Sharp.  Thank you.

This is Donald B. Reagan, author of THE BOOK OF RAGAN/REAGAN.  I can help you with one of the chidren of Robert Maxwell in your query here.   It is Malinda D. Maxwell.
Malinda D. Maxwell was born circa 1812 in Tennessee and died after 1880 Federal Census was taken  in Sevier County, Tennessee.  She was married on 08 Jun 1829 in Sevier County, Tennessee to Frederick Sanders Emmert, son of Philip and Elizabeth "Betsey" Ragan/Reagan.  Frederick Sanders Emmert was born 12 Sep 1810 in Emert's Cove, Sevier County, Tennessee and died circa May 1869 in 4th Civil District, Sevier County, Tennessee. Both Frederick Sanders Emmert and Malinda D. Maxwell were buried in Red Banks Cemetery, Sevier County, Tennessee.
They had only four (4) children.
Family of Frederick Sanders Emmert/Emert and Malinda D. Maxwell:
1.)   James Daniel Emert b. 11 Dec 1831 d. 27 Sep 1870 m. circa 1852 in Sevier County, Tennessee to Asa Butler
2.)   Philip Seaton Emert b. 02 Oct 1831 d. 12 Mar 1863 m. circa 1853 in Sevier County, Tennessee to Martha James
3.)    Sarah Elizabeth Emert b. 03 Jan 1836 d. circa 1887 m. circa 1852 in Sevier County, Tennessee to Tilman Robertson
4.)    Robert R. Emert b. 04 Nov 1848 d. after 1886 m. 21 Nov 1869, Sevier County, Tennessee to Anna C. Maples
For your information, I was able to research further on the children of Frederick Sanders and Malinda D. Maxwell Emmert/Emert on my own.  It is in my research notebooks here at home.
There is a Last Will and Testament for Frederick Sanders Emmert/Emert at Sevier County, Tennessee courthouse in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Based on my research, I used EMMERT/EMERT for Frederick Sanders, but his children used EMERT only.  So I used both spellings.
I was not able to pinpoint the death date for Malinda D. Maxwell, wife of Frederick Sanders Emmert/Emert.
You are welcome to contact me at my email address,  And I can help you further on this family.
